Sidwell Friends, a coeducational Quaker day school located in Washington, DC, seeks a sixth grade teacher for its Middle School division.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of three years of teaching experience in grades 5-8. She/he must also understand the age group, be able to work cooperatively with other teachers, be excited about working with children from diverse backgrounds, and be competent in language arts, mathematics and social studies instruction. Also required is a genuine appreciation for the Quaker philosophy that underlies the School. She/he will also be expected to teach an advisory program and maintain thorough communication with parents.
